4 ways to stay hydrated in the heat

I don’t know about where you are from but the Danish summer has been crazy hot this year. One thing that I have learned from this is how important it is to stay hydrated. I mean staying hydrated has always been something that I have tried to do but it hasn’t been this extreme before. In the beginning, I felt fine just drinking water but it quickly became boring and so I tried to find more delicious ways to stay hydrated and these are the ones that made me feel the best and the most hydrated:

Fruit infused water

Water doesn’t have to be boring. You just have to spice it up a bit with some fresh fruit. Some of my favorite fruits to use are lemons, strawberry and even mint leaves to make it a little fresher. If you want more ideas you can check out my Pinterest account.

Iced green tea

I am not much of a coffee drinker but tea, on the other hand, is like an addiction to me but it has been so hot recently that it has been unbearable to drink regular hot tea. I started making my own iced tea instead and it turned out really good. This is how I make it:

I place 3 green tea bags in a container and fill it with hot water. I let it cool down and add the juice of one lemon. Then I put it in the bridge and add ice.

This ice tea is so delicious and hydrating. I always serve this when my friends come over and they all love it.

Watermelon

There is lots of hydration fruit and veggies out there and my personal favorite is watermelon. If you are more of a veggie person try celery, cucumber or spinach.

Drink your breakfast

Start off your morning with a big glass of juice or smoothie. It is a great way to detoxify your body and there are so many different options so you are sure that you can find a flavor that fits your preference. My personal favorite is this one but if you need more inspiration you can always check out Pinterest.
